Golf Digest rated the Jack
Nicklaus Signature Golf Course the BEST new Private Course in
America in 1993. And Golf Magazine selected this course as one
of it's Top 100 courses in America for 9 years running.
Then, in 1997, Pete Dye began work on his masterpiece, Colleton
River's Pete Dye Signature Course. He spent over 120 days
physically on the site during it's construction. The Pete Dye
Signature Golf Course opened in 1998 and promptly was placed
into the Top 100 by Golf Magazine in 1999.
This marked the first time a private, residential community had
ever had two courses on the same major Top 100 list.
